3. Do pistachios fall off
the tree naturally?
When it’s time to harvest our
pistachios, we use a
mechanical shaker that grabs a
tree by the trunk to shake all
the pistachios off. Watch a

If there’s a tiny opening,
wedge your pistachio into a
sharp corner and you should be
able to get your pistachio
out!

The pistachio shell itself is
not poisonous, but it’s very
important for the harvested
fruit to be hulled and dried
within a 24 hour period. They
go from our trees to the
storage facility within a day
to avoid contaminants.
